General Servicing

We service both old and newer CPT Autopilots. It is a good idea to send your autopilot in for service every three to four years to have the watertight seals replaced. There is a $55 minimum inspection fee for opening and inspecting the unit.

Carriage Bolt Mounting Bracket Issue

Using a long carriage bolt with the drive mounting bracket will cause unnecessary wear on the mounting bracket hole

Guidelines For Shipping The Autopilot

• Send both the motor and sensor boxes.
• Do not cut any wires.
• Both motor and sensor boxes should be individually bubble-wrapped, then both units should be bubble-wrapped together, placed in a box, then boxed again surrounded by 2.5" of styrofoam pellets. A UPS store is an easy place to do this.
• It is a good idea to mark the package “fragile” and insure it against possible shipping damage.
• Please include a check for $55 with the autopilot (payable to CPT Autopilot) or pay with a credit card using our secure online shopping cart

Warranty

New units come with a one year limited warranty as specified in the CPT Owner’s Manual. Customer is responsible for shipping charges to and from the factory for warranty repairs.
